First Floors Carpet One Floor & Home has been tirelessly serving the greater Dallas/Fort Worth community since the late 1960s in both Dallas and Waxahachie. For three generations, the Dobson family has maintained a vital presence in the neighborhoods they serve, one project at a time.

First Floors founder Bob Dobson, a certified flooring installer, founded the business in 1968. Today, Bob’s son, Richard, continues the firm’s tradition of providing only the finest floor covering, as well as onsite installations and remodeling. Like his father, Richard is a certified installer, so he knows everything there is to know about flooring. Specializing in serving the unique needs of custom builders, we employ a dedicated roster of customer service specialists, field supervisors, and service staff. For over a decade, we’ve been named the region’s top insurance claim handler with Farmers Insurance, with a department dedicated exclusively to insurance claims. Commercial projects, including senior living communities, are among our specialties.
